Dollar bills, just like other currencies, are ornamented with microscale details to prevent counterfeiting. Even though these days holograms and high-quality paper are much more important in counterfeit prevention, microscale intricate details are still in use. Some of the texts in the following images are so tiny reading them with the naked eye would be extremely difficult.

A close observation of the print also shows how the printing press actually creates physical imprints as opposed to the two-dimensional marks of the inkjet printing.
